3:26 p.m.: Phone Book

Just a quick observation on the blatant stupidity of some people.

My apartment complex received a fresh batch of phone books yesterday, one neatly wrapped in a plastic bag was placed in front of each door. including the door to the laundry room. Now I might be able to over look this if the door did not have a large, eye level window in its middle that clearly displays a closet size room with a washer and dryer in it. It is more than obvious that no one resides in this room so why the need to drop a phone book there? What, is it supposed to provide someone with some light reading while they are drying their towels? Or maybe they think that should the washer break down in the middle of a load the phone book may come in handy to call the repair guy.

No matter the reason, the phone book sits there on the stoop of the laundry room and it will continue to sit there until it gets soggy and gradually turns to yellow mush.
